Leigh Hobbs

Horrible Harriet is back – to claim her inheritance, and to fill in the gaps in her impressive family tree along the way. These include queens, warriors and yes, a vampire, too…
Horrible Harriet has appeared in two picture books: Horrible Harriet and Hooray for Horrible Harriet, with sales across both titles of almost 14,000 in hardback and just over 7500 in paperback. And you might remember that it was indeed Horrible Harriet who originally invented Mr Chicken, whose fame has almost outstripped her own… So it’s high time for Horrible Harriet to have another book all of her own. Bursting with hilarious black-and-white line drawings and amusing captions, this friendly story in the style of 'Clarice Bean' and 'The Wimpy Kid' is a great, fun read. Leigh Hobbs is a painter, sculptor and creator of children’s books.
