Gina Harney knows how hard the balancing act can be for a woman today. Eight years ago, she was juggling work, school, and dance classes, while eating whatever she could grab on the go. Gina found herself struggling with her weight and low energy, until she developed her own plan to build a stronger, healthier body. With her blog The Fitnessista she is helping millions today.
Realizing that her active lifestyle couldn’t compensate for her less-than-ideal diet, she turned to a series of diet and eating plans, including Weight Watches, Slim Fast, Atkins, and Lean Cuisine, none of which worked for her. After much trial and error, Gina developed her own plan, one that helped her shed forty pounds and build a stronger, healthier body.

Now a personal trainer, Gina helps others do the same through her healthy living blog, The Fitnessista, which draws more than 1.1 million page views every month. In THE FITNESSISTA, Gina shares the effective, short workouts and recipes for tasty, nutrient-dense food that have won over loyal readers and fitness editors. Made to accommodate the life of busy women, THE FITNESSISTA doesn’t require hours in the gym or the kitchen to get real results, in real life.

Gina Harney is an aerobics instructor at the world-renowned health resort, Canyon Ranch, and personal trainer. In addition to mentions in magazines such as Glamour, Woman’s Day, and Oxygen, Gina has received several awards, including Fitness Magazine Best Personal Training Blog and Sharecare Now Top 10 Online Fitness Influencer. She lives in Arizona with her husband and young daughter.
