GYPSY GIRL

Kathryn Borg

16-year-old Sammy-Jo Smith has inherited the kick-ass strength and fight skills of her Gypsy ancestors. Unknown to her large family she spends her nights competing in dangerous unregulated fights against older boys, where she’s known simply as ‘Gypsy Girl’. The prize money from the fights is helping to fund her sister’s extravagant wedding.
Two days before the big day they park up on private land, and she meets rich-boy Gregory Langton, the son of the land owner, and falls for him even though she knows they can never be together.

But after meeting the boy of her dreams, she meets the man of her nightmares – Mr. McCloud, whose heavily guarded property is next door to their camp. He’s coldly determined to get rid of them. Sammy-Jo thwarts his inceasingly violent attempts to get them to move, until she accidentally uncovers his secret. As the wedding day celebrations are in full swing she’s forced to flee from McCloud’s men, accompanied by Gregory. Sammy-Jo is fast, strong, tough, even in her heels and bridesmaid dress. She’s not going to die without a fight.

Kathryn Borg lives in Leicester with her family. She’s a filmmaker who documents the lives of Gypsies living in the UK. Kathryn is fascinated by the weird and fantastic elements of life and spends hours surfing the net for the strangest websites.
