FRENZY
Aimed at young male readers, Frenzy fills the hole between Goosebumps and Michael Crichton.
One river. Ten kids (including one who is possibly a psychopath). Hundreds of rabid animals. This was not how Heath pictured his last summer.
When Heath decided to go to Camp Harmony he’d pictured water fights, writing boring letters home to his parents, wearing swimming trunks all day—a summer filled with normal things, things healthy kids take for granted. Killing a rabid porcupine with a squirt gun filled with water, however, is most decidedly not normal. Unfortunately the porcupine wasn’t the only sick animal in the woods.
Deciding to join up with Will was easy; Will is the smartest kid- ?- ? smartest person- ?- ? at camp by far. But that was before Will used other kids as animal bait to assure his own survival during a dash to the safety of the river. Surrounded by rabid animals and stuck in a river with a “leader” who is willing to sacrifice a few pawns to win, Heath is forced to evaluate what it really means to want to survive.
Robert Lettrick has worked for Marvel Comics, Marvel Films and Harris Publications. He has an MA in sequential storytelling from Savannah College of Art and Design, had the great fortune to learn directly from renowned artists such as Mike Mignola (Hellboy), Mark Schultz (Cadillac’s and Dinosaurs) and the late Mike Wieringo (Tellos). Frenzy is his first book.
