DEAD ON DARTMOOR

Stephanie Austin

The Devon Mysteries

DEAD ON DARTMOOR finds Juno Browne invited to a garden fete by James Westershall, owner of Moorworthy House and a large Dartmoor estate. She doesn't know that the day will end in the tragic death of a young friend, apparently the victim of a bizarre accident. The result of a police investigation is inconclusive but as Juno begins to investigate for herself she discovers that this is not the only strange death to have occurred at Moorworthy. An expert researching rare bats in caves and disused mine workings also died in strange circumstances. It soon becomes clear to Juno that there is something very wrong at Moorworthy and the caves contain a dark and dangerous secret.

Stephanie Austin lives in Devon. Her experience in theatre and her own meandering career path as artist, astrologer, and dabbler in antiques led to the creation of Juno Browne and her friends. This is the second Juno Browne Mystery.
