DEAD AIR
Stephanie Olesh Michelle Schusterman
THE KAT SINCLAIR FILES: DEAD AIR #1 by Michelle Schusterman is the first book in a spooky new middle grade series. THE KAT SINCLAIR FILES will focus on themes of family, friendship, and dealing with skeletons – and ghosts – in your closets.
Thirteen-year-old Kat Sinclair lives on the road with her dad, visiting the world’s most haunted places. Her dad is the host of a ghost-hunting TV show Passport to Paranormal, but her life is not as glamorous as it seems. The cast and crew don’t get along, the producer’s annoying nephew has unexpectedly shown up, and Kat thinks the show – and her dad – might be cursed.
When Kat starts writing a blog with a “behind-the-scenes look at the creepiest show on TV,” she soon discovers that going behind the scenes may just reveal more than you want to know. Book 2 to follow in Summer 2016, and Book 3 in Summer 2017. Each book will feature a ghost-hunting story set in a different foreign location with DEAD AIR #1 set in Rotterdam and Brussels, Book 2 tentatively set in Brazil and Argentina; and Book 3 tentatively set in South Korea and China.
As a former expat and travel writer, Michelle Schusterman has blogged her way through ancient graveyards in Scotland, fortresses in Korea, and deserted beaches in Brazil. Michelle currently lives in New York City.
