COMPTON VALANCE: THE MOST POWERFUL BOY IN THE UNIVERSE
Deliciously daft and supremely funny, Compton Valance marks the debut of a fantastic new voice for the 7+ market. Buckle up and join our heroic duo in this, the first in a planned series of hair-brained time-travelling escapades.
When Compton Valance and his best friend Brian Nylon leave one of Compton’s mother’s infamous cheese and pickled egg sandwiches to decompose for a few weeks in the name of science, they are amazed to find they have inadvertently discovered the world’s first Time Machine.
The appearance of the inept Samuel Nathaniel Daniels from the Future Perfect Unit (from the year 2650, or thereabouts) confirms their worst fears: a) They have indeed caused the custard cream-related extinction of the dinosaur. b) Compton’s dad is indeed now a (very unattractive) woman. Oh, and: c) The very fabric of time is at risk.
Can Compton and Bryan bring back Compton’s cool dad, save the universe and still find time to perfect their formula for the world’s first pair of custard trousers? Only time will tell. And time is one thing that may not be on their side.
Matt Brown is a Radio and TV presenter currently co-host of the Heart Thames Valley Breakfast Show, with a weekly audience of around 250,000. After starting his career on Nickelodeon, Matt Brown went on to work as a presenter on programmes such as I’m a Celebrity, Get me Out of Here, and Channel 5’s Party in the Park, with Lauren Laverne.
