While attaining his BA & master's in education at UCLA, he was one of the first producers of LCC Theatre Co. and co-founder of ProperGander, both Asian-American theatre companies with notable alumni. Naoya enjoys video editing and cooking for his wife, Jennifer, their two sons, Kyle and Jordan, and their dog, Buddy.

This thoughtfully designed workbook is an engaging way for children to work on Common Core State Standards for Kindergarten. The workbook is filled with brightly colored graphics and relatable concepts that children will enjoy. The pages are easy to follow and will allow you to clearly see what skills your child understands or might need a little more practice in. The use of math vocabulary throughout the book will also lend itself to parents on how they can talk to their children about math concepts in everyday life.

I love the variety of activities in this math workbook. It kept my 5-year-old son engaged and challenged as he progressed to the next level. The illustrations were also very cute. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for extra math practice over the summer before entering first grade.

Great book! Activities are presented in 4 levels that progress from easy to high level critical thinking skills. As a teacher I love that ALL Kinder standards are covered... As a parent the book is straight forward and easy to use. Pictures and activities are engaging for my young learners!

The book progresses at a nice pace as the ideas for kindergarten students to think about become more rigorous but always fun. What stands out here is the many opportunities students to think about numbers and solve problems in ways that make sense to them.

It has engaging worksheets where students can count, problem-solve, and critically think through interactive problems and games. The order of levels the workbook was created was GENIUS! The rigor begins through simple kindergarten standards and it gradually enhances the mathematical thinking that students get to solve as they move to more of the algebraic thinking with concrete and/or abstract problem solving, geometry, and other challenging standards for first grade readiness.
