CHARLIE COLLIER, SNOOP FOR HIRE

John Madormo

The Homemade Stuffing Caper

Meet Charlie Collier, a twelve-year-old boy and selfappointed private investigator who solves cases for his classmates.
In the first book of this delightful series, our young gumshoe finds himself tired of mundane, junior-high challenges, and yearning for the big score. As luck would have it, a "real" private detective makes Charlie an offer he cannot refuse a chance to accompany him on his next caper. All too soon, Charlie learns that kidnapping, black market operations, and stuffed human trophies are more than enough to convince him that middle-school mysteries are challenging enough for his tastes.
John writes with a voice that is utterly engaging, intelligent and genuine. In Charlie Collier, John has deftly brought to life a loveable and fully-realized character that young boys and girls eager to read about a hero like them one who relies on his brain, rather than his brawn will relate to and cheer for.

John Madormo is a Chicago-based professor and screenwriter.
