BILLY MILLER MAKES A WISH

Kevin Henkes

The companion to the bestselling Newbery Honor Book The Year of Billy Miller. A humorous and accessible new novel follows second grader Billy Miller and his family through an eventful summer. A must-have for fans of Ramona, Clementine, and Judy Moody.
Award-winning author Kevin Henkes delivers a sequel to his much-praised The Year of Billy Miller. Now that school is over, an eventful summer is planned for Billy Miller and his family.
Short, humorous, and emotionally complex, this chapter book is a must-have for younger middle grade readers. Illustrated throughout with black-and-white art by the author.

THE HENKES VERSION OF RAMONA: Comparable to the Ramona books, Clementine, Judy Moody, and the popular school stories by Andrew Clements.
FUNNY, FUNNY, FUNNY: Unlike other Henkes novels, Billy Miller is peppered with Kevin's signature picture book humor (including some truly laugh-out-loud lines).
PITCH PERFECT FOR THE AGE GROUP: Kevin Henkes has the incredible ability to write about what matters most to kids. Billy Miller is pitch-perfect for 2nd and 3rd grade readers, both boys and girls.
GROWING UP WITH KEVIN HENKES: Billy Miller is perfect for kids who have mastered the Penny books, but aren't quite ready for Junonia or Olive's Ocean.
