On BEFORE, Adam offers this about how Anna will explore characters’ differing points of view in order to avoid a simple revisit to existing books and characterizations.

“While featuring both Hardin and Tessa as the protagonists, BEFORE will offer completely original material, scenes, and “adventures” in their love story. Told from Hardin’s point of view partly in the form of his writing their love story in a book called AFTER (which you’ll recall was a secret project he was seen doing in the After series) and partly in the form of on-page scenes, it will tell various stories about the characters in After, before, during, and following the events in the After series. We will get looks into other character’s lives and motivations, as well as learning more about Hardin and Tessa’s continuing love story after AFTER.”
