Based in part on recently declassified documents from Greece, the United States, and the British Intelligence Services, this masterful study sheds new light on the aftershocks that have rocked Greece in the seven decades following the end of the bitter hostilities.

André Gerolymatos is professor and chair of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Centre for Hellenic Studies at Simon Fraser University. His recent books include Castles Made of Sand: A Century of Anglo-American Espionage and Intervention in the Middle East and The Balkan Wars.
