Written by the author to help her own son cope with the death of their new baby at birth, All Shining in the Spring is a child-centred book. It will help children and families deal with the feelings and questions which the death of a baby raises.

Siobhán Parkinson has published around 30 books for children and teens, with Little Island, Puffin, Hodder, O'Brien Press and others, in English and Irish, as well as several translations from German and three novels for adults. She served as Ireland's inaugural Children's Laureate from 2010-12.
She is currently a nominee for the 2020 Hans Christian Andersen Award
