ACTUALLY, I'M AUSTIC

Katherine L'Etang

Relatable Advice from a Late-Diagnosed Woman Who Couldn't Mask Forever

The more we learn about autism, the more we see how it a?ects girls and women in ways that might look di?erent from what we've been taught to expect. More women are realizing that because they didn't fit certain stereotypes, they missed out on an accurate diagnosis that would have helped them understand who they were and seek the support they needed. Instead, they've lived their whole lives behind a mask, trying to act neurotypical when they are, as the popular hashtag says, #ActuallyAutistic.
One of those women is Katherine L'Etang, aka @TheNeurodiversityMom. It wasn't until her children were diagnosed with ADHD and autism that she realized she was neurodivergent too. Since then, she's been on a journey of self-discovery and healing, sharing her insights with her online community along the way.

Katherine L'Etang, also known as @TheNeurodiversityMom, is a late-diagnosed autistic and ADHD content creator who has made it her mission to provide community, inclusion, and acceptance to anyone who is neurodivergent or raising neurodivergent kids. She lives in British Columbia, Canada, with her husband and two kids.
