Helping Children and Young People Deal with Grief

A guide for adults to help young people deal with grief.
DESCRIPTION
Babies, children and teenagers can all experience the death of someone they love. Adults don't always know how to react to young people's grief, silence and questions, and can often feel powerless. What is the best way to tell a child that a loved one has died? What are they able to understand at their age? How are you supposed to talk about accidental death—or suicide? How different can grief be for a young person compared to an adult? Can unresolved grief leave a lifelong impact for a young person? Parents, caregivers and anyone else concerned by the grief of a young person all stand to gain from the information, insight and experiences shared in this book.
