8 SECONDS OF COURAGE

The book is a memoir by Flo Groberg; a Medal of Honor recipient and former US Army captain. The book recounts his heroic action of subduing a suicide bomber at the moment of detonation during a mission in Afghanistan, saving many lives and seriously injuring Groberg, who would endure some thirty surgeries and three years at Walter Reed Medical Center.

The memoir also explores his unusual background as a French immigrant (now an American citizen), and how his experiences as a Ranger-qualified combat officer shaped and prepared him prior to this dramatic event.
