Halfway Around the World with a Cat
My incredible adventures with Mogli
The incredible but true story of a man, his cat and a motorcycle on the road in the Arab world – wonderfully told in pictures and text
Motomogli – the best and the craziest stories are still told by life itself. The book Halfway Around the World with a Cat is the special story of Martin Klauka and his cat Mogli. Aged about two months, the cat ran to him half-starved during one of his motorcycle trips, and chose him as its carer. It was clear: Mogli had to make friends with the motorcycle, because otherwise her fate would have been sealed. Luckily, Mogli immediately trusted the metallic monster, and Martin Klauka was able to take her back to Rosenheim. This motorcycle tour was, however, just the preparation for a much bigger adventure.
A year earlier, Martin had decided to break out of everyday life in tranquil Rosenheim and to explore the fascinating Orient. Together, the two friends travelled by motorbike on the road from Germany via Dubai to Nepal. And on the journey, Mogli was a piece of home for Martin.
